We are seeking a motivated and experienced Social Media Marketing & Events Manager to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining creative digital marketing with hands-on event coordination and is confident working independently.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for managing our social media presence across multiple platforms while also planning and coordinating a range of events and activations. You will work closely with our leadership team to promote our programs, grow engagement, and deliver well-organised events in the community.
This is a primarily work-from-home role, with regular travel required to attend and manage events.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, create and schedule content across Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
* Produce both static and video content aligned with brand guidelines
* Manage and optimise social media advertising campaigns
* Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and track performance metrics
* Plan, organise and deliver events including:
* Chess competitions
* Holiday programs
* School fetes and community activations
* Ensure all events run smoothly, professionally and safely
About You
You are organised, proactive and creative, with strong attention to detail. You are comfortable juggling digital work and in-person event coordination, and you take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes.
Essential Requirements
* Current Blue Card (or ability to obtain prior to commencement)
* Proven experience in events management
* Background in social media advertising and content creation
* Experience managing business or brand social media accounts
* Reliable transport and willingness to travel to various locations
* Strong written communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
