Facade Lead | National Facade Contractor
A leading Australian facade contractor is seeking an experienced Facade Lead to join their growing team and play a key role in delivering high-profile building envelope packages across commercial, residential and mixed-use developments.
This is an opportunity to work with a well-established facade business known for delivering innovative facade systems, partnering closely with architects, developers and builders to bring complex building envelopes to life.
The Role
As the Facade Lead, you will oversee the technical development and delivery of facade systems from design coordination through to construction. You will act as the key interface between architects, consultants, internal design teams and site teams to ensure facade solutions are technically sound, buildable and delivered to program.
This is a senior role suited to someone who enjoys problem solving, technical leadership and working closely with project teams to deliver high-quality facade outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead facade design coordination across multiple projects
* Manage the technical development of facade systems from concept through to construction documentation
* Liaise closely with architects, facade engineers, builders and consultants
* Provide guidance on facade materials, systems, detailing and performance
* Review drawings, shop drawings and technical documentation
* Support project teams during procurement, fabrication and installation stages
* Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards and project specifications
* Mentor and support junior facade designers or coordinators
About You
* Proven experience working within a facade contractor, facade engineering consultancy or specialist building envelope business
* Strong knowledge of facade systems such as curtain wall, cladding, glazing and rainscreen systems
* Experience coordinating facade packages on complex construction projects
* Excellent technical detailing and problem‐solving ability
* Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work closely with builders and consultants
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
