We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cabinet Maker to join BODON CONSTRUCTIONS PTY LTD team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, constructing, and installing high-quality cabinets and other premium quality furniture pieces for our clients. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for design.
Skills and experience requirements :
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in solid timber cabinet making or woodworking.
* Expertise in joinery and variety of woodworking techniques.
* Knowledge in a variety of carving techniques, including relief carving, chip carving, and sculptural carving.
* Expert knowledge of wood species, panel types, and their properties.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
* Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Expert knowledge of woodworking tools and machines, including saws, drills, sanders, and routers.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
* Commitment to highest quality, company standards and customer satisfaction.
* Experience in managing projects from start to finish.
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and communicate with clients and other team members.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and other technical drawings to ensure accuracy and precision in all cabinet and furniture designs.
2. Maintain, repair, troubleshoot and calibrate a variety of wood processing equipment, including saws, planers, routers, sanders, and other machinery.
3. Design custom cabinets and furniture pieces using the latest software.
4. Select materials, including wood, hardware, and other components, to create high-quality finished products.
5. Install and assemble finished products on site, ensuring that all pieces are properly fitted and securely fastened.
6. Work collaboratively with other team members, including designers and installers, to ensure that all projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
7. Keep accurate records of all materials used, time spent, and project costs to ensure that projects are completed within budget.
