We are seeking an experienced Retail Purchasing & Inventory Manager to join our leadership team. While you will lead our Retail Grocery Supervisors across all store locations, the core of this role is centred on strategic purchasing, inventory management, and local and international sourcing.

Role Summary
Reporting to our CEO, the core of this role is ensuring we have the right products on our shelves at the right time. Your duties will include:
* Buying and sourcing high-quality products from local and international suppliers
* Preparing and placing daily/weekly stock orders
* Ensuring invoices are processed correctly in a timely manner
* Managing and maintaining the category gross margin
* Managing relationships with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliable service
* Monitoring inventory levels and working with the warehouse team to maintain organised operations
* Supporting and leading our grocery supervisors to keep store operations running smoothly
* Analysing purchasing data and market trends to optimise stock levels and product selection
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant food safety and quality standards
What You Will Bring
* Full, unrestricted rights to work in Australia (essential)
* Proven track record in purchasing across diverse product categories within the retail or food industry
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, forecast needs, and confidently use inventory management software
* Comprehensive understanding of HACCP and OH&S regulations
* Sound knowledge of warehouse operations and their integration with retail success
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills to build supplier relationships and collaborate with the executive team
* Strategic thinking with attention to operational detail
* Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop team members
