The Position:
In this role, it will be your responsibility to ensure quality and consistency are maintained across the board. This position offers a great opportunity for growth and career progression within an excellent company culture.
We pride ourselves on quality food, beverage, and customer service and are looking for an outstanding Chef with extensive experience in various food operations.
* Ensuring food preparation, cooking, and presentation are of a high standard at all times.
* Preparing and cooking foods of all types for regular menu items, special requests, or allergen requests for the bistro and functions.
* Assisting in menu development and planning.
* Supporting cooks and other staff in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation.
* Implementing and maintaining effective cost control strategies.
* Developing and maintaining relationships with relevant regulatory authorities.
* Ensuring HACCP and OHS compliance and maintaining correct food safety procedures.
* Working independently and as part of a team to achieve objectives as determined by venue and group stakeholders.
The Person:
Reporting to the Head Chef and Venue Manager, you will be able to work a rotating roster over 5 days including lunch and dinner.
* Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a restaurant setting.
* Strong culinary skills and creativity.
* Ability to manage kitchen staff and inventory.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
You must be passionate about food, able to lead by example, with drive, enthusiasm, and attention to detail.
You are energetic, organized, and self-motivated with strong leadership qualities.
You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to motivate and develop staff, and maintain a positive team environment.
You must be able to work under pressure.
You will have successfully completed Cert IV in Commercial Cookery.

The successful candidate will be offered a salary of $75,000 plus superannuation for this role.
