About the role
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to provide strong, visible leadership on Queensland's remote Kidston Project, a first‐of‐its‐kind renewable energy development and one of Australia's most unique infrastructure projects. As a key member of the Project Leadership Team, you will partner with senior leaders to deliver the project people plan and provide expert HR and ER/IR leadership across a complex, unionised environment. This is a senior site‐based role offering genuine influence, autonomy and the opportunity to shape workforce strategy and culture on a major project. Immediate opportunity will initially be a 12‐month fixed term. Longer‐term opportunities may exist for high performers subject to operational requirement. Roster is 2:1. East‐coast point of hire (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane) is preferred.
Why join this role:
* Rare opportunity to gain mega‐project experience, highly regarded across the infrastructure and resources sectors.
* Work in an environment where HR is valued as a strategic partner, not just a support function.
* True HR leadership role as a key member of the Project Leadership Team, with a genuine seat at the table.
* Significant involvement in complex ER/IR matters, providing challenging and rewarding professional growth.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead HR service delivery and workforce strategy across the project
* Manage employee relations and coordinate industrial relations activities
* Coach leaders and build capability in people management
* Support workforce planning, mobilisation and reporting
* Partner with project leadership and corporate HR functions
About you
You are an experienced HR leader with strong ER/IR capability and a track record in construction, infrastructure or resource projects. You are confident operating in complex environments and able to work autonomously in a site‐based role. Experience in remote environments will be highly regarded.
