Territory Manager-Companion Animal-Northern Queensland

You will be the face of Elanco, building solid relationships with our customers and promoting the sales of our companion animal product

You'll need the following

* Must reside in Queensland (preferably Townsville or North Queensland) and hold a current Australian driving license.
* Tertiary qualification Year 10 or more
* Tertiary qualification in science or similar field.


Experience

* Preferably experience in the animal health industry but not essential
* A minimum of 2 years in sales.


Qualities and Skills

* You have a mindset that can read, comprehend and assimilate into communication scientific and clinical data and grasp technical knowledge.
* You are flexible, adaptable, persuasive and have great selling skills.
* You have excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
* You are self-motivated and can work alone.
* You can work as a team and collaborate across different functions in the business.
* Proficiency in CRM systems, Outlook, and Microsoft programs.
* Proven track record as a highly successful sales professional with leadership qualities.
* Ability to organize and plan efficiently, and to take ownership of personal development.


Ideally, you may also have

* Tertiary qualification in business or marketing.
* Scientific background and or vet or vet nursing certificate.
* 1-2 years in the animal health industry, vet, vet nurse, or similar field. Experience in sales to Vet Clinic/Pet Health Retail is a plus.
* Effective customer relationship management and sales expertise.


As a Territory Manager – Companion Animal, you may do the following

* Build strong relationships with Veterinary and Retail customers, providing excellent customer service and product support.
* Train and inform industry professionals about company products.
* Gather and analyze customer data to build long-term relationships.
* Partner with customers to grow sales and maintain customer records in CRM.
* Monitor and report market trends and align activities with brand plans and budget goals.
* Call on Veterinary and Retail customers and not just selling the product but knowing about this so you can provide great customer service and technical and commercial product support.
* Spend time after each call maintaining up-to-date records of all activities and relevant customer data in CRM and doing things like expenses.
* Have goals/priorities linked to the brand plans along with a budget and be expected to deliver results.
* Consistently demonstrate leadership behaviour and performance standards that are aligned with best industry practice, while maintaining the highest ethical and compliance standards.
* Play to win.
* Support company decisions/values and be considered a leader by peers, customers and management.
* Take ownership of executing a development plan that helps become more effective as a person and as a leader.


Other information

* You will be on the road 90% of your time.
* This territory is North Queensland.
* You will have regular regional trips (overnights) each quarter.
* Other regional day trips may be called upon (day trips).
* You will look after a defined account base with specific reach and frequency targets.
* You will have to also travel to team conferences, events and industry events and factor in nights away from home for these.
* There may be some weekend or nighttime work occasionally.
