Australian Workforce is seeking a reliable and organised Pantry Assistant to support food and beverage operations within a professional corporate workplace in Newcastle, NSW.
About the Role:
This hands-on role is essential in maintaining a well-stocked, clean, and compliant pantry environment while supporting meetings, events, and daily employee needs. You will work closely with on-site teams, suppliers, and service partners to ensure a consistently high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities:
Food & Beverage Coordination
* Manage pantry stock levels and place orders to ensure continuous supply of food and beverages
* Coordinate ad-hoc food, beverage, and service requirements for meetings and workplace events
* Communicate with service partners and client contacts via Slack, live chat, and email
* Collect employee feedback and share improvement suggestions with management
* Ensure compliance with food health and safety standards at all times
On-Site Duties
* Keep refrigerators, snack stations, kitchens, and pantry displays fully stocked and well organised
* Maintain accurate inventory records for perishable and non-perishable items
* Monitor expiry dates, manage stock rotation (FIFO), and follow safe food handling practices
* Coordinate supplier access, receive deliveries, and unpack stock in designated areas
* Assist vendors with catering and event setups
* Keep stockrooms clean, tidy, and compliant
* Ensure all labels, signage, and dietary information are accurate and up to date
* Track food wastage and implement improvements where required
* Clean coffee machines weekly
* Collect and distribute mail and packages from the mailroom
* Ensure meeting rooms are clean, tidy, and presentable
About You:
* Previous experience in a corporate, hospitality, food services, or facilities environment preferred
* Sound understanding of food safety, inventory control, and stocking procedures
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
* Proactive problem-solver with good judgement
* Reliable, punctual, and demonstrates excellent time management
* Intermediate computer skills, including Google Workspace
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Work Authorisation:
* Australian working rights required (visa holders considered)
* Must be able to commit to the role for a minimum of 12 months
* Must have unrestricted working hours
