This project is a convenient 30-minute drive from Kalgoorlie.The Underground Mine Surveyor will be conducting all mine survey activities so as to support the aims detailed in the mine plan. With a focus directed towards the collection and accurate interpretation of spatial data which is integrated into the mine planning and reporting process.KEY DUTIES AND TASKSConduct surveys of all underground openings and ongoing maintenance of the underground void model.Measuring total volume of material moved.Measuring underground excavations.Installing lines and grades in development headings and stopes.Pegging out areas to be mined.Surveying mine configuration; and locating blast and exploration drill holes.Maintaining up to date data entry records and ensure data is available when required.Provide all relevant survey data to mine production/ management personnel in a safe, efficient and effective manner.Produce plans as and when required including development memos, traffic management plans, emergency plans, statutory mine plans.Work safely and contribute to safety systems of underground operations.Work closely with all mine personnel to aid in the effective running of an underground operation.Ensure the cleaning and maintenance of all survey equipment is done on a regular basis.Any other duties as required.ROLE REQUIREMENTSRelevant tertiary qualifications (Essential)Surveyor Grade 1 Authorisation (Highly Desirable)SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEWORK KNOWLEDGE:Minimum 2years' survey experience in underground mine environment.Experienced with laser mark ups.COMMUNICATION SKILLS:Able to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.Ability to engage team and others to solve problems, develop solutions and get things done.Ability to build and maintain positive relationships required to achieve role purpose.COMPUTER SKILLS:Experience with Surpac mining softwareExperience with MPX mining softwareExperience with GPS toolsCompetent with demonstrated skills in spreadsheet and presentation applications, Word processing and database applications.BENEFITSPermanent full-time role with immediate start.Excellent remuneration package with additional allowances.Fully covered family private health insurance through GU Health Complete Gold Cover or allowance up to $5k.Receive up to 10% short-term incentive payment (STIP) of your base salary.Receive $2.4k allowance to put towards your choice of Death and Total & Permanent Disability (TPD) insurance.Pro-rata long service leave (LSL) after just 5 years of service and be entitled to 13 weeks paid LSL after 10 years of service.Work with a team that prioritises safety while ensuring you achieve your best output.A clear career path with training and development opportunity for promotion.EMPLOYER QUESTIONSYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following First Aid accreditations do you currently hold?Do you have underground mining experience?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as an Underground Mine Surveyor?Are you willing to relocate for this role?Are you licenced to drive a manual vehicle?What's your expected annual base salary?
