Axial Training is seeking experienced Boilermakers and Sheet Metal Workers who are passionate about passing on their skills to the next generation. These roles involve delivering nationally recognised engineering qualifications to senior school students in a structured, term-time, school-based environment.
Whether you're an experienced Trainer & Assessor or a seasoned industry professional ready to step off the tools, Axial Training provides full support, including assistance to obtain your Certificate IV in Training and Assessment if required.

About the Role
You will deliver engaging, hands-on training and assessment to high school students completing:
* Certificate II in Engineering Pathways (Boilermaker / Sheet Metal focus)
Your role is to build students' confidence, practical skills, and understanding of real-world trade pathways—helping them prepare for apprenticeships and future careers in engineering fabrication.

What You'll Do
* Deliver practical, workshop-based training and assessment
* Mentor and motivate students in a supportive learning environment
* Share real-world industry knowledge and trade expectations
* Maintain strong relationships with partner schools
* Contribute to lesson planning and continuous improvement
* Ensure all safety, quality, and compliance standards are met

What You'll Bring
* Trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Sheet Metal Worker
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122/40116) or willingness to obtain
* Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
* Strong communication and mentoring skills
* A genuine passion for developing future tradespeople
