THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a seasoned Senior E&I Engineer to join a major energy project currently in the construction phase. This role serves as the critical technical bridge between the Brisbane-based engineering office and the site execution team for. With a focus on a significant Gas Plant and wellsite surface equipment, you will ensure that construction aligns perfectly with design specifications and Australian Standards.

THE ROLE
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will provide comprehensive technical engineering and procurement support. The project has a balanced split across both Electrical and Instrumentation scopes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Interpreting and reviewing Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Loop Diagrams, Instrument Hook-ups, Cable Schedules, and Layout drawings.
* Providing design clarifications and resolving technical queries (RFIs) for the site-based team.
* Ensuring all E&I packages strictly adhere to project specifications and relevant Australian Standards (including EEHA).
* Overseeing the capture of redline markups to ensure high-quality, accurate as-built documentation.
* Assisting with technical evaluations for E&I equipment and packages.
ABOUT YOU
You are a highly experienced engineer who thrives in the \"sharp end\" of project execution. You possess the \"polish\" to communicate effectively with stakeholders and the technical depth to solve complex site issues from the office.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory).
* 10+ years of professional experience, specifically within an EPC or Construction environment.
* Proven background in Oil & Gas projects is essential.
* Strong understanding of EEHA standards and Australian electrical regulations.
* High proficiency in managing engineering documentation systems and redline processes.
