Job Summary / Overview
The Field Service Technician provides onsite technical support for communications systems devices and users. The role ensures reliable deployment operation and maintenance of PTT services while working closely with operational teams and remote support functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Provision and onboard PTT devices users talk groups and fleet mapping
* Configure and maintain devices including SIM activation firmware updates and templates
* Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 onsite technical support and troubleshooting
* Validate network components including LTE Wi-Fi APN and firewall configurations
* Manage incidents escalations and support tickets with remote support teams
* Support UAT and proactive testing to ensure system quality and performance
* Deliver user training and hands on guidance for effective system adoption
* Maintain system documentation configurations and performance reporting
* Support change management upgrades and planned maintenance activities
* Collaborate with engineering and integration teams on complex issue resolution
Required Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Electronics or Computer Systems Engineering or equivalent industry experience
Skills & Competencies
* Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
* Knowledge of network connectivity and device configuration
* Ability to work onsite in operational environments
* Clear communication and documentation skills
* Collaborative approach to cross functional problem solving
