Leadership Opportunity
This is an ideal role for someone with strong business acumen and the ability to have a hands-on impact across the entire organization.
The successful candidate will work closely with our directors and legal team to streamline operations, manage financials, and ensure compliance with trust, regulatory, and professional obligations.
* Key Responsibilities:
o Human Resources: Recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of administration staff
o Operational Oversight: Managing day-to-day operations and supporting teams in various matters
o Financial Management: Billing, budgets, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, profit and loss, cashflow reporting, and liaising with external accountants
o Trust Accounting: Managing receipting, payments, end-of-month reconciliations, and compliance
o Systems and IT: Managing equipment, facilities, and practice management systems (Smokeball, Xero), liaising with IT providers
o Strategic Planning and Reporting: Fee earner reporting, workflow analysis, financial reporting, and contributing to organizational strategy
o Vendor and Contract Management: Coordinating with suppliers, external advisers, and service providers
What You Bring:
* 3–5+ years' experience in professional services operations or law firm management
* Strong knowledge of finance and accounting (qualifications an advantage)
* Excellent systems knowledge (Xero and Smokeball highly regarded)
* A proactive, hands-on approach – comfortable with both big picture planning and detail execution
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence positive change
* Confidence working directly with firm leaders in a fast-paced environment
