About the role
We are currently seeking a South West Coordinator based in Albany, WA, to support the efficient, effective, and compliant operation and management of our tanker truck fleet and driver group across Albany and Bunbury.
The role is responsible for customer service, administration and depot store activities, including the controlling, monitoring and delivery of product, along with all required operational duties within the depot. This position ensures an incident‐free, reliable, cost‐efficient and profitable operation that meets customer delivery expectations and upholds all safety, compliance and service standards.
The South West Coordinator will play a key role in maintaining high safety standards, driving operational efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Provide drivers with clear operational direction, including load plans and delivery schedules.
* Support coordination of fleet movements for routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance.
* Understand customers' needs and objectives, provide excellent customer service by obtaining and collating tank dips to determine delivery requirements.
* Monitor depot communications regarding orders, quotes, and delivery requests, taking timely action as required.
* Conduct operational checks, inspections and compliance activities as required.
* Oversee depot store activities including product receipt, storage, stock control and dispatch.
* Lead Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) compliance by promoting safe work practices, mitigating risks, addressing unsafe behaviours, and escalating serious issues where necessary.
About you
You have previous experience in a similar role, thrive in a face‐paced environment and demonstrate strong problem‐solving skills. You have high attention to detail and can build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Qualification & Experience
* Demonstrated strong commitment to health and safety, with the ability to foster and maintain a proactive safety culture.
* Previous experience in scheduling is essential.
* Experience in heavy vehicle operations and fleet coordination, with sound knowledge of traffic and vehicle planning principles.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly express ideas, provide direction, and offer technical guidance when required.
* Well‐developed problem‐solving skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast‐paced environment.
* Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and fleet management systems, supporting efficient vehicle deployment and utilisation.
* Ability to work autonomously.
