About the Role
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key customer accounts, building strong relationships and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
1. Serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of key customer accounts, building and nurturing long-term partnerships.
2. Collaborate with the team to develop tailored sales strategies, plans, and targets for the assigned account portfolio, aligning with customer goals and company objectives.
3. Drive the execution of Sales & Account Management initiatives within the responsible area, partnering with other Sales & Marketing teams and Customer Service to achieve revenue targets, ensure seamless service delivery, and high customer satisfaction.
4. Recognize and pursue upselling potential within the accounts, working with key customers to understand their evolving needs and propose customized solutions.
5. Lead in crafting and negotiating proposals and contracts that meet customer expectations and align with the company's capabilities.
6. Generate and analyze sales reports to monitor performance, identify trends, and provide insights for strategic decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Food Science/Technology.
* Strong understanding of policies, objectives, operations, and activities within a Sales & Account Management role in Australia.
* Specialist understanding of the B2B sales process and broad food ingredient knowledge.
* Strong communication skills to persuade and influence key accounts, adapting styles to different audiences inside and outside the organization.
* Ability to resolve complex customer issues with original thought, research, and analytical techniques.
* Proven ability to influence commercial outcomes through effective decision-making.
