The Role
In this senior leadership role, you are responsible for leading the Employee Relations (ER) function and team. You will be a trusted expert, supporting people leaders with complex workplace matters, from misconduct, performance management, and investigations through to industrial instruments, union engagement, and tribunal preparation. You will also drive ER strategy, and ensure compliance with our Enterprise Agreement and industrial and legislative frameworks.
You will have the ability to partner with people leaders to support timely identification and management of employee relations matters ensuring balanced outcomes and compliance with legislation and internal policy and procedure as well as be innovative, strategic, deliver effective services and support in an environment with conflicting demands.
You will lead and develop a team of four Employee Relations professionals who provide specialist advice, coaching, and support to people leaders on a wide range of ER matters across a workforce of over 1000 employees. This role also has responsibility for the ER budget, policy and procedure development, and influencing at a strategic and organisational level.
This is a full time role, with part time, flexibility considered.
About You
To be successful in this position, you are a seasoned ER practitioner with substantial experience and qualifications as a contemporary ER professional. You will bring your:
* Proven team leadership skills within a complex organisational environment
* Deep expertise in Australian employment legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements
* Strong experience leading complex ER matters and industrial engagement
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and relationship building skills
* Highly developed influencing skills
* Enjoy working in a collaborative environment
