Our clients include farmers, agronomists, rural retailers, and research organizations across Australia.The peak season is from November to March, with potential for additional hours during this period to cover leaveImmediate start availableLocation: Belmont, Western AustraliaAs a Sample Preparation Officer, your responsibilities include receipting, sorting, preparing, packing, and dispatching samples for analysis to meet operational, customer, and quality standards.This role involves:Receiving samples from clients, including walk-insBooking jobs into our Laboratory Information Management SystemChecking the PO Box for sample deliveriesVerifying client details and test requirementsDrying samples in ovensGrinding soil and plant samples as neededPackaging samples and organizing courier pickups via an online portalMeeting courier deadlinesWorking efficiently in a fast-paced sample receipt and preparation environmentEnsuring timely completion of samples following correct methods and proceduresWhat we are looking for in candidatesPhysically fit and comfortable with manual tasksAbility to follow procedures meticulouslyExcellent numeracy and communication skills (written and oral)Proficiency with Microsoft Office suiteStrong organizational skills and multitasking abilityCurrent driver’s license and reliable vehicleAbility to meet deadlinesExperience in a commercial sample preparation laboratory is advantageous but not mandatory.
