Conduct structural and copy edits across our publications and platform, ensuring consistency with the Tryst voice.
Approach your editing practice with a descriptivist, decolonial mindset, drawing on your understanding of whorearchy and other intersectional lenses when working with writing from the sex worker community.
Provide clear, compassionate editorial feedback to members of the sex work community, supporting skill development where appropriate.
Review and offer constructive feedback to the writing and editing work of your peers with a view towards growing their editorial and writing skills.
Bring an awareness of publishing risk and liability, coordinating legal or stakeholder reviews where needed.
Your background
Exceptional proficiency in both structural and copy editing, with minimal need for guidance and oversight.
A deep interest in understanding how intersectionality shapes the sex work industry, and the ability to navigate issues of race, class, gender, and disability in your editing practice.
Knowledge of technical writing, accessibility principles, and SEO principles is highly valued.
Familiarity with risk and liability as it relates to publishing will be highly regarded.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams is a plus.

Previous experience engaging with and a willingness to learn about marginalised communities, particularly sex workers, neurodivergent individuals, and people with disability.
Experience in or a strong understanding of sex work.
Experience working in both startup environments and fully remote work settings.
