About the role:
Knauf Gypsum is looking for an experiencedTrade Store Operator Driverto join our Trade Store team inRockhampton, QLD.
Reporting to the Trade Store Manager, this role is responsible for providing exceptional service through site deliveries and warehousing operations, in accordance with the Company's strategic plans, operating budgets, procedures and policies.
Applicants must be reliable, adaptable, and physically fit. You will have demonstrated experience working effectively in a team and independently and be committed to safety at all times.
Requirements for the Role
* MR license (preferred or willingness to obtain)
* A high level of physical fitness and the ability to safely perform physically demanding tasks on a daily basis.
* Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, or delivery of construction materials (such as plasterboard) is highly desirable; training will be provided for the right candidate.
* Comfortable carrying out labor-intensive work in a variety of environments, including construction sites and warehouses, and being exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
* Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate stock handling, picking, and deliveries while maintaining product quality.
* A team-oriented and proactive approach, with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with coworkers and clients.
* Ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks is advantageous (training/certification may be provided).
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely transport plasterboard and related materials to construction sites, warehouses, and client locations.
* Perform heavy manual handling tasks, including the physical loading and unloading of plasterboard sheets by hand or using lifting equipment (some sheets may weigh up to [specify weight, e.g., 30kg/50lbs]).
* Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders in the warehouse, ensuring all plasterboard and materials are securely loaded for delivery.
* Organize and maintain the warehouse, including sorting, stacking, and replenishing plasterboard stock safely and efficiently.
* Perform stock checks and ensure plasterboard and materials are stored correctly to minimize damage and meet safety standards.
* Assist with maneuvering and positioning plasterboard at delivery locations, including delivering into buildings, upstairs, or confined spaces, if required.
* Adhere to proper load securing techniques to ensure plasterboard and other materials are safely transported and comply with regulations.
* Collaborate closely with warehouse and delivery teams to meet deadlines and ensure accurate, high-quality service.
