Oldfields Farm, which specialises in hay production, cropping and sheep farming, is in the upper Great Southern region near Narrogin. We require a dedicated full-time Agricultural Mobile Plant Operator to commence employment on the property.
The position of the Agricultural Mobile Plant Operator will encompass the complete end-to-end cropping program, as well as the ongoing maintenance of property infrastructure, involvement in new developments, and mechanical maintenance as necessary. Proficiency in machinery operation will be critical during peak periods, particularly for tasks related to ground preparations, seeding, hay and harvest activities, and fertiliser applications.
Responsibilities
Preparing equipment for operation, operating tractor for ploughing, sowing, fertilising, cultivating, and harvesting.
Adjust tractor settings.
Using machinery to hold, lift, and cut trees.
Operating tractor attachments.
Servicing machinery, carrying out minor repairs, maintenance records and reporting.
Qualifications
AQF Certificate II or III, or at least one year of relevant experience.
Candidates must possess prior experience operating modern farming equipment that includes GPS technology. A strong willingness to learn, a demonstrated initiative, a solid work ethic, and the ability to maintain a reliable and trustworthy workplace are essential qualities. Working independently while functioning effectively within a team environment is crucial.
