The role of the Network Systems Specialist involves managing the network infrastructure, including user access, privileges, and password maintenance. The Network Systems Specialist will provide technical advice on network issues, assist with CCTV inquiries, and work with the Department's IT Support to resolve hardware, software, and network problems. The role includes risk management, system backups, disaster recovery, and data security.

The ideal applicant would take a proactive approach to identifying risks and recommending improvements aligned with the school's IT goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Demonstrated skills and experience in administering a computer network and facilitating access to applications.

• Demonstrated knowledge of hardware, software, and other information technology resources, including software licensing and Information Technology copyright obligations and regulations.

• Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to work with limited supervision and prioritise duties in a demanding environment.
">
• Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills relevant to computer support.
">
• Demonstrated well-developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to consult and negotiate with users on issues relevant to network administration.
">
• Demonstrated well-developed written communication skills with the ability to develop and implement user-training procedures.
