Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced professional to manage our on-call roster and coordinate outreach services. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service delivery.
About the Role
The On-Call, Outreach & Intake Support Officer will be responsible for managing incoming/outgoing communication, developing and optimising on-call staff rosters, addressing urgent scheduling issues, and providing administrative support to on-call support workers and therapists.
The role also involves contributing to service delivery development, providing crisis support to clients, serving as backup for the Intake & Administration Officer, and recording client intake data and reporting on service hours.
This position requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a demonstrated understanding of the issues facing survivors of sexual violence.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage incoming/outgoing communication, including emails, mail, and service requests.
* Develop and optimise on-call staff rosters and divert the on-call phone inside and outside of business hours.
* Address urgent scheduling issues and fill On-Call shifts due to unplanned leave or emergencies.
* Provide administrative support to on-call support workers and therapists delivering scheduled outreach work.
* Contribute to service delivery development responsive to client and community needs.
Selection Criteria
* Certificate/diploma-level qualifications or transferable skills in human services or nursing, or significant current progress towards the same and/or relevant work experience.
* Experience or willingness to provide crisis support.
* Proven experience in a rostering/scheduling role within the crisis response sector and handling incidents effectively.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and find solutions to complex rostering challenges.
* Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Demonstrated understanding of the issues facing survivors of sexual violence and current issues in the area of sexual assault, including relevant legislation.
