Join a team where your expertise really matters
Pinnacle Insurance Brokers is a commercial insurance brokerage that helps Australian businesses protect what matters most. We're known for being reliable, straight-talking, and professional, and we're looking for an experienced Account Executive who takes ownership of their work and prides themselves on doing things properly.
This is not a support role. You'll manage and deliver across a business insurance portfolio end-to-end, working closely with the Managing Director and a loyal, long-standing client base. You'll be trusted to run your work with discipline, accuracy, and confidence, within a small team where standards are high and contribution genuinely matters.
Discover an industry that rewards expertise
Commercial insurance is complex, people-focused, and constantly evolving. In this role, your technical skill and attention to detail directly protect businesses when it counts. You'll work with real clients, real risks, and real responsibility in a stable industry that values experience, consistency, and professionalism.
Why you'll love this role
* Autonomy: End-to-end responsibility with trust to deliver, not micromanagement
* Impact: A small team environment where your work is visible and valued
* Quality over volume: Focus on doing things properly, not cutting corners
* Growth: Work closely with an experienced Managing Director and grow with the business
Why Pinnacle
At Pinnacle, you'll work directly with Melissa Jolly, Managing Director, an experienced and respected leader in the Australian insurance market. Melissa brings deep technical expertise, commercial insight, and a strong commitment to professional standards and mentoring.
This is a business built on structure, consistency, and doing right by clients, and by the people who work here.
What you'll do
You'll be in the engine room of the business, managing a commercial insurance portfolio from start to finish, including:
* Preparing new business quotes and professional proposals
* Managing renewals, including declarations, re-marketing, and detailed reports
* Processing endorsements, issuing Certificates of Currency, and handling policy adjustments
* Lodging claims and following through to resolution
* Managing outstanding premiums, remuneration declarations, and premium funding
* Maintaining accurate records, compliance standards, and client documentation
What we're looking for
* Minimum 2 years' experience in insurance broking as an Account Executive or Assistant Account Executive
* Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification (essential)
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and common broking systems
* Highly organised, detail-focused, and calm under pressure
* Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
* A strong sense of accountability, ownership, and follow-through
This role suits someone who takes pride in reliability and consistency, and who genuinely enjoys delivering high-quality client outcomes.
Work eligibility & location
This role requires full-time, unrestricted work rights in Australia. We're looking for someone who can work standard full-time hours (8:30am–5pm) on an ongoing basis.
Who this role suits
You may currently be working in a mid-tier brokerage and looking for:
* Greater autonomy and trust
* Closer involvement with leadership
* A business that values discipline, precision, and professionalism
You're known as "the reliable one"; the person who notices details, cleans things up, and gets it right the first time.
