About the Opportunity An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Process Control Engineer to join our Capricorn Copper operation near Mount Isa in Queensland. This site-based role forms part of our Maintenance and Restart teams, reports to the Electrical Superintendent, and operates on an 8:6 roster. Your focus will be on maintaining and optimising the site's distributed control system (DCS) to reduce process variance, support operations, and drive process improvements. Your primary responsibilities will include: Managing and optimising the site’s DCS for reliable plant operations. Overseeing system maintenance, updates, licensing, and liaising with the DCS OEM (Rockwell). Driving automation and control improvements to reduce process variability and boost efficiency. Delivering project management and technical input for DCS-related CAPEX and upgrades. Collaborating with site and group teams to share knowledge and improve performance. Providing remote support during the wet season, with time off in lieu (TOIL) offered in the dry season. About You Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in process control, including expertise with DCS platforms (e.g., Rockwell, Honeywell, Citect), as well as operational experience in a base metals or similar concentrator. Other key skills, experience, and qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Control Systems or Computer Systems Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience in delivering control system development and/or optimisation projects. Current C-class manual driver’s licence.
