The Opportunity

The practice sits within Ashurst Australia’s wider capital markets practice, covering the full range of capital markets products and transactions across Debt, Securitisation, Derivatives and Structured Finance. Our team works closely with our fully integrated finance transactions team of over 350 lawyers globally. Our unrivalled reputation is based on our technical expertise and track record of developing and bringing to market the most innovative, ground‑breaking and cutting‑edge structures at the forefront of the marketplace.
We are seeking a Lawyer/Senior Associate with experience or an interest in this area to join our exceptional team.

Required qualifications and experience
* Finance lawyers with 3+ years post‑qualification experience in debt capital markets, general finance, corporate trust or structured finance
* Excellent attention to detail with well‑developed analytical skills
* Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
* Client‑facing experience and the ability to understand and respond effectively to client needs
* A commercial approach and an ability to negotiate effectively
* A collaborative attitude when working within large teams and with colleagues at all levels
* Ability to guide and mentor junior lawyers
