We are seeking expressions of interest from highly skilled and experienced professionals to join our panel as Council representatives.
The Sydney North Planning Panel (SNPP) is responsible for determining regionally significant development applications, certain other DAs, and modification applications under Sections 4.55(2) and 4.56.
Council representatives must have sound knowledge of the North Sydney area and relevant planning issues.
They should be able to act independently and possess demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following fields:
* Planning
* Architecture
* Heritage
* Environment
* Urban design
* Land economics
* Traffic and transport
* Law
* Engineering
The panel comprises individuals who are highly regarded in their fields and who have demonstrated experience in areas such as architecture, urban design, sustainability, and planning.
Council is seeking representatives with comparable expertise and insight to join the panel.
Appointments are for a term of up to three years, and panel members will be remunerated at $750 per meeting (inclusive of GST).
Submissions should include an Expression of Interest outlining relevant qualifications, experience, and areas of expertise.
Please note that property developers, real estate agents, and Council staff are not eligible to be members of the panel.
