About the Opportunity
Liverpool Hospital is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Assistant (Grade 2) to support and enhance the operations of our busy Emergency Department. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a specialised clinical setting alongside a high-performing, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
As a Technical Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting medical and nursing staff by assisting with technical procedures and associated tasks under the direction of senior clinicians. Your contribution will help ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of emergency services in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing venepuncture, intravenous cannulation, blood collection, and ECG procedures.
- Supporting the clinical team in a range of technical and operational duties.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-stocked clinical environment.
The preferred applicant will:
- Be trained and experienced in venepuncture, intravenous cannulation, and blood collection.
- Demonstrate solid teamwork and communication skills.
- Be reliable, organised, and able to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
