Property Officer Role in Real Estate
We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic individual to join our property management team.
The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. A mature person with exceptional communication skills is essential. Other required attributes include excellent organisational skills, a good work ethic, and attention to detail. While previous property management experience and a real estate license/assistant agent certificate are preferred, they are not essential. The successful applicant must hold a current driver's license without restrictions and have a well-maintained and reliable vehicle.
We offer an attractive salary package including phone and car allowances, plus super and training allowance.
Main Responsibilities:
As a Property Officer, you will assist the Property Manager in the overall management of assigned residential, industrial, or commercial properties. Your duties will include:
* Marketing: Obtain referrals from existing tenants, process applications, promote and show properties to prospective tenants, interview and qualify tenants, and maintain knowledge of market conditions.
* Administrative: Negotiate and enforce leases, complete paperwork for new tenants, collect security deposits and rent, ensure premises are ready for new occupants, and maintain statutory records.
* Financial: Assist in providing rental appraisals, ensure timely payments and collections, minimise rental arrears, coordinate default proceedings, and schedule expenditures.
* Tenant/Resident Relations: Orient new tenants, investigate and resolve resident complaints, enforce occupancy policies, and maintain timely communications.
* Maintenance: Monitor and complete maintenance and repairs, ensure security of premises, organise inspections, and implement preventative maintenance programs.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Computer proficiency, including Office 365 and Console Cloud property management software (preferred)
* A real estate certificate/assistant agent (preferred)
* A current driver's license (essential)
