The opportunity
Join a supportive primary healthcare team in Katherine, working alongside other GPs, nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners and visiting allied health staff.
You’ll provide comprehensive care to the community with the support of a full clinical team and the local hospital’s emergency department just 1 km away.
The clinic operates Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with 20-minute appointments and no emergency department duties, on-call shifts or weekend work required.
This locum requires a minimum commitment of three weeks.

Fly into Darwin, then travel by road (approximately 3.5 hours) or take a regional flight to Katherine.

Essential criteria
- Fellowship with RACGP and/or ACRRM
- Current AHPRA Specialist GP Registration
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Strong experience in rural or remote healthcare, ideally Indigenous health
- Cultural awareness and commitment to working respectfully with Aboriginal communities
