What We Offer

- Earning potential: Up to $80,000+ including reasonable overtime loading and generous allowances (inclusive of super).
- Hourly pay: $ – $ (dependent on age & apprenticeship year).
- Attendance allowance: $16 payable on rostered worked hours.
- Tool allowance: $8.74 – $15.48 payable weekly (dependent on apprenticeship year).
- Annual leave: Loading of 17.5%
- Ongoing training and development: In‑house Heavy Vehicle Brake courses presented by a registered TAFE teacher.

Role Responsibilities

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this role requires a mature and professional approach with excellent communication skills. Your main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Under supervision, learning the skills required to be part of the Workshop team.
- Performing minor repairs and service of vehicles and equipment within your skill level and experience, under the supervision of a qualified tradesperson.
- Enter into a 4‑year training contract within a secure employment workplace, undertaking a nationally recognised training program in Auto Body Repair – Cert III Automotive Body Repair Technology.
- Completing all units of the apprenticeship to the required standards and within the required time frame(s).
- Attending all required TAFE classes under the guidance of your mentors, supervisor and teachers.
- Adhering to all Work, Health & Safety requirements while performing work duties.

You Will Have The Opportunity To

- Work alongside trade‑qualified staff to assist the team in meeting the daily operational requirements while learning a trade along the way.
- Assist in maintaining a fleet of vehicles including the latest models and innovative vehicle technology.
- Receive full ‘on the job’ training from a mentor with solid mechanical experience, along with training and support from your TAFE lecturers.
- Build a secure, recession‑proof career that is always in demand.

Qualifications

- Completion of grade 10 or above high school or tertiary equivalent.
- Good Mathematics, Science and English skills.
- Strong work ethic: reliable, punctual, honest, and committed to completing your trade qualification.
- Genuine interest in pursuing a career in the automotive industry.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong focus on safety in the workplace.
- Positive ‘Can Do’ attitude, self‑motivated, conscientious, and eager to learn.
- Willing to undergo a pre‑employment medical check and working with children check.
- Ability to take direction and show initiative in a fast‑paced environment.
- Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have working rights in Australia.

Highly Regarded but Not Necessary

- Current driver’s licence.
