This is an exciting opportunity to take on a high level leadership role in the Strategy & Innovation Directorate at the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network. The primary responsibility of the Strategy and Innovation Directorate is to lead, manage and direct high priority strategies and major project initiatives requiring a whole of Sydney Children's Hospitals Network (SCHN) perspective.
The Associate Director role has leadership and management responsibility across health care service planning, change and redesign, and sustainability teams. These teams develop, deliver, monitor and evaluate a portfolio of planning, and strategic and innovation-based projects on behalf of the Network.
What you'll be doing
The primary responsibility of the Strategy and Innovation Directorate is to lead, manage and directing high priority strategies and major project initiatives requiring a whole of Sydney Children?s Hospitals Network (SCHN) perspective. The Directorate oversees improvement programs, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities to deliver high value projects that deliver key strategic and operational initiatives. This is achieved through strong evidence-based planning, and, developing innovative solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of service delivery in close partnership and collaboration with stakeholders.
The A/Director, Strategy, Innovation and Planning, works under the leadership of the Director Strategy and Innovation, as part of a future focused team. This role contributes to the strategic direction of SCHN in the context of a Network and state governance structure.
The A/Director, SIP has leadership responsibility across planning and successful completion of individual projects which may relate to a specific service, Network, Child Health Network issues, but at most times they will be required to work as part of a larger team committed to producing a single SCHN, statewide or National clinical service plan.
The A/Director, SIP leads and manages a team that develops, delivers, monitors and evaluates a portfolio of planning, strategic and innovation based projects on behalf of the Network.
Internal contact focuses primarily on the facilitation of a consultative approach to Strategy, Innovation and Service Planning. Externally the incumbent establishes and maintains a network of contacts with key stakeholders throughout other areas relevant to health planning and Child Health.
About You
We?re looking for someone who:
* Has relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience
* Demonstrates extensive experience in whole of organisation strategic clinical service planning and project management preferably in an Australian environment. An established stakeholder network of relationships in NSW Health would be an advantage especially if that had a child-health focus.
