**Role Summary**

The Health and Safety Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation of health and safety policies and procedures, as well as providing support for Return-to-Work initiatives. Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, the coordinator will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Directors, Managers, and Supervisors, as well as external entities such as WorkCover Authorities and Occupational Rehabilitation Providers.
You will be required to also run their Wellbeing program, chair the health and safety committee (including taking minutes) and manage the security of all sites.
**Key Responsibilities**

**Coaching and Consultation**:
Offer consultancy and advisory services to internal stakeholders on matters concerning Health and Safety and Return to Work.
**Policies, Procedures, and Compliance**:
Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of health and safety policies and procedures.
Stay updated on legislative changes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
**Investigations**:
Support Managers and Supervisors in conducting accident investigations.
**Administration**:
Ensure accuracy of WorkCover payments by collaborating with relevant departments.
Maintain detailed records of meetings, incidents, and audits related to Health and Safety.
**Health and Safety Management**:
Provide support to all employees regarding Health and Safety matters.
Coordinate Health and Safety training programs and Committee meetings.
Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and audits as required.
Record and report workplace incidents, hazards, accidents, and injuries.
**Return to Work**:
Coordinate and process WorkCover claims and facilitate the return-to-work process for injured or ill employees.
Prepare Return to Work Plans and liaise with relevant authorities and employees.
**Wellbeing**:
Analyze and evaluate health and wellbeing data to inform decision-making.
Implement evidence-based health and wellbeing programs and strategies.
**Project Work**:
Undertake project work related to Health and Safety as directed by the Human Resources Manager.
**Adhoc Tasks**:
Address any adhoc tasks assigned by the immediate Manager.
**Key Requirements**:
Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
**Hours**

40hrs, Monday to Friday with flexibility which can be discussed. 2 days in the office, but Tuesdays and Wednesdays are core days in the office.
