The City of Melbourne's Strategy, Planning and Climate Change Division partners with Traditional Owners, community and stakeholders to imagine and realise the city's future.

Within this division, the Planning and Building Branch plays a vital role in shaping and protecting Melbourne's identity. The branch aims to proactively facilitate sustainable city growth while preserving what makes Melbourne unique. By delivering accessible statutory services, the team helps build a safe, liveable and vibrant city for the benefit of all.

A dedicated **Business Support Officer** is now sought to join the Business Support Team, which is integral to the smooth delivery of core planning and building services.

- Key deliverable: Delivering high-quality customer service, including face-to-face support
- Key deliverable: Ensuring legislative requirements are upheld and contributing to continuous service improvement

You enjoy working collaboratively and bring others along to achieve shared goals. You have a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legislation in everything you do and you are committed to delivering high-quality service, supporting both internal teams and the community.

**What your experience might look like - Key Selection Criteria**
- KSC1 - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- KSC2 - Excellent customer service skills with demonstrated experience of working in a customer focused environment.
- KSC3- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member to coordinate and achieve day to day administrative responsibilities.
- KSC4 - Demonstrated ability to provide administrative support in a multi-function team environment.
- KSC5 - High level of accuracy and attention to detail with proven experience of data entry.
- KSC6 - Intermediate computer skills especially Microsoft Office and proven ability in utilising in house databases and systems to manage and process work.
