About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Team Leader to join our disability team. You will be responsible for managing all support functions, including mentoring support workers, scheduling and rostering, client care, and customer relations, recruitment and all staffing functions of the role.
Key Responsibilities
* Effectively leading care and support team for services to preserve consistency, harmony, and effectiveness
* Managing enquiries and referrals, completing intakes with participants and their support networks
* Supporting with day-to-day operations of the disability services including rostering, document management and updating
* Conducting regular supervisions of disability support workers
* Knowledge and application of the National Standards for Disability Services
* Knowledge and understanding of 'Restrictive Practice' and the related compliance requirements
* Excellent understanding of the service's operating environment
* Excellent communication skills, organisational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
* Very organised and able to effectively prioritise work and meet deadlines
* Strong coaching/mentoring skills to increase capacity of the care and support team
* Absolute upholding of privacy and confidentiality obligations - moral, legal, and ethical
Mandatory:
* Diploma qualification in Aged Care, Disability, Community Services or Social Services, or equivalent skills/experience
* Minimum three years' experience in operations leadership in complex care and support within NDIS-era disability sector
* Working knowledge of the SCHADS Award
* Current First Aid and CPR qualification at commencement of employment
