About the Job
The Senior Financial Accountant will lead the preparation of financial statements in line with Australian Accounting Standards and public sector reporting requirements.
* Prepare financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
* Compile documentation for audit readiness, including liaison with VAGO and internal business units.
* Manage general ledger entries, month-end processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting packs.
* Partner with auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and complete audit deliverables.
* Identify gaps and risks in financial data, ensuring precision and consistency across reporting.
* Support EOFY processes and ensure all statutory reporting obligations are met within tight deadlines.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting.
* CPA or CA qualification is highly desirable.
* Sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASBs) and public sector financial reporting frameworks.
* Experience using Oracle software is preferred.
