About the role
Maruti Homes is seeking a dedicated Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate all construction activities around Melbourne. As a part-time Construction Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of our residential construction projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
What you'll be doing
* Manage and oversee all construction activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and progress monitoring
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to coordinate the timely delivery of construction milestones
* Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
* Identify and mitigate potential risks, and implement effective problem-solving strategies
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project progress, costs, and any variations
* Provide regular progress reports to the project management team and other stakeholders
* Foster a positive and collaborative work environment among the construction team
What we're looking for
* Minimum 10 years of experience in a construction industry preferably in the residential construction industry
* Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
* Strong understanding of construction methods, techniques, and best practices
* Provide strategic oversight and leadership across all phases of construction, from initial site preparation through to handover.
* Manage and mentor subcontractors, site teams and field trades to ensure consistent performance and professional workmanship.
* Conduct comprehensive site inspections and ensure all builds adhere strictly to timelines, budgets, safety requirements and quality benchmarks.
* Coordinate schedules, materials, documentation and compliance processes across multiple concurrent projects.
* Resolve construction challenges promptly and implement proactive measures to avoid delays.
* Maintain professional communication with clients, consultants, engineers and internal management.
* Strengthen Maruti Homes' reputation by upholding excellence in service delivery and construction integrity.
