Job Description
Our Heavy Vehicle Mechanics have the opportunity to work on Volvo Trucks, Volvo Buses, Mack and UD Trucks, some of Australia's most innovative transport brands.
We are seeking a highly skilled, qualified Mechanic to join Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV) Gold Coast, based in Carrara.
Key Responsibilities
* Steering and suspension repairs
* Electrical faults diagnosis and repairs
* Braking systems diagnosis and repairs
* Component overhauls
* Driveline repairs
* Preventative maintenance services and repairs
* Offsite and breakdown repairs
Team Information
This role will be based at our Volvo Commercial Vehicles Gold Coast dealership in Carrara, which forms part of the larger Volvo Group Australia umbrella.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the team of 23 workshop staff are made up of Mechanics, Auto-Electricians, Apprentices, Service Advisors and Costing Clerks.
Your Qualifications
* A Heavy Vehicle mechanical qualification (we cannot accept Fitter qualifications)
* Experience working with Volvo, Mack, UD or other European truck or bus brands
* Some exposure to light auto-electrical work
* A proactive attitude with a drive to work efficiently
* A positive safety attitude with a team-focused mindset
* Appropriate Australian working rights for a permanent full-time role

* A starting hourly rate between $39.54 - $47.75 dependent on experience
* Yearly rate increases in line with our EBA
