Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to support our midwifery academic programs in simulation and clinical teaching spaces at UniSC Sunshine Coast campus. This role is crucial in creating a safe, realistic, and engaging environment for students developing the skills required for midwifery practice.
This position involves providing technical expertise and support to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, facilitating simulated learning for students across Nursing and Midwifery disciplines with a focus on Midwifery. The successful candidate will instruct in the use of simulation equipment and clinical learning facilities and oversee the operation of technology to ensure safe and effective use.
The role also involves training and supervising casual team members when required.
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* A Bachelor of Midwifery or relevant experience in clinical activities supporting teaching in a health-related discipline;
* Demonstrated commitment to using simulation methodology in learning and its ability to transform education;
* Ability to acquire knowledge of policies, guidelines, and legislation relevant to clinical spaces and technical services including health and safety requirements and experience in performing, documenting, and implementing risk assessments.
