An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced, proactive, and self-motivated Assistant Accountant (12 Months Fixed Term) to join this leading company in Asian food products, located in Sydney West.This role will be reporting to the Finance Manager.
You will also help be part of the team's efforts to drive change, improve processes, and increase efficiency.
Knowledge of Dynamics 365 will be preferred.
This position will be a 12 months contracted role, with possibility to extend or convert to permanent position.PositionPosition Profile: As a critical finance team member, you will support all facets of the company's accounting activities, including month-end and year-end financial reporting, statutory compliance, auditing, and management of the accounting system.
You will also be responsible for preparing inventory costing.ResponsibilitiesAccounts handling mainly on receivable and on payable if requiredGeneral ledger accounting entriesMonth-end and accruals processingPreparation of credit notes/debit notesPreparation of bank reconciliationsAssessing credit risks and credit control according to the profile of the customersClosely monitor customers' collections and provide weekly cash receipt projectionEnsure all outstanding payments are collected and reconciled on time and highlight customers with high risks of defaultRegular review of customers' credit limit & outstanding payments with the sales department and report it to different stakeholdersPreparation of periodic AR/AP aging reports, ad hoc analysis reports, monthly statements, and year-end reportsCo-operate and work well with finance and colleagues of other departmentsFollow and carry out company policies and protocols as instructed strictlyQualificationsStrong working knowledge of accounting conceptsExcel skills are expectedStrong communication skills in verbal & written English (Mandarin or Cantonese speaker an advantage)Team player and able to work independentlyMust have 2 to 3 years of local AU experienceDiploma or tertiary qualified in accounting12 Months Fixed Term contract on siteWhat's On OfferExciting projects in the near future and a team-orientated work setting.On-site parking is available in a prime Western Sydney location.All qualified applicants, please apply online.
