Role Description
This is a recurring contractor role based in Newcastle, NSW, with flexibility to achieve most work from home. As a Social Media Content Creator, you will be responsible for developing, creating, and managing content across various social media platforms to engage and grow our community. Perfect as a supplementary income to other work or further study.
Day-to-day tasks include:
creating engaging posts, monitoring social media channels, and collaborating to align content with Insight Acting's brand and messaging.
taking, and archiving photos and videos of classes, workshops, productions, and community events.
handling media release forms for events, and advertising forms for groups that wish to advertise through our channels.
We expect to begin with about ~2 to 4 hours/week of work producing around 6 cross-platform posts and related content a month. More time given to onboarding. Certain months may require more posts, such as when launching a new course or a major production goes live. We expect the role to grow as our course offerings expand.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Social Media Content Creation, Copywriting, and light video editing
Knowledge of Social Media Management tools, specifally Metabusiness suite and Google Workspace.
Experience in Canva, Airtable, Google workspace envrionment.
Strong skills in Photography, Graphic Design, and Visual Content Development.
Excellent Organizational Skills and the ability to manage cocurrent content schedules.
Knowledge of or passion for, acting, production, or related fields is a strong advantage.
Familiarity with social platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and ideally Wordpress.
Preferred: Studying/Studied Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.
