The Team: The Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) Navigation Service provides a central point of contact for information and support about voluntary assisted dying to people, families and carers, and health professionals, including: Support Tasmanians through the voluntary assisted dying process; Provide consistent and accurate information about voluntary assisted dying and access to voluntary assisted dying in Tasmania, including working with individuals and facilities to support participation and nonparticipation in voluntary assisted dying as appropriate. Liaise with patients, families, carers, health practitioners, health care workers and others who may be seeking information about or access to voluntary assisted dying; and Work closely with the Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) Commission, Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) Pharmacy Service, Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) clinical providers and other services as required to provide a comprehensive and coordinated Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) service The Role: As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Team Leader will provide high quality leadership and strategic direction in the management of the Voluntary Assisted Dying Navigation Service. This role is based in the South of the state, however regular intrastate travel is a requirement of this position. You will need Demonstrated knowledge, skill and expertise in providing clinical service delivery related to Voluntary Assisted Dying and ability to provide high level clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement and initiative and to work under minimal supervision, including the management of financial, physical and human resources Demonstrated high level communication, consultation and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively lead a team, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and resolve problems within a complex health system. Demonstrated high level conceptual and analytical skills, independent and innovative thinking with the ability to identify and initiate solutions to complex problems. Details of appointment: Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Salary: $123,717 to $134,336 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022 Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year other benefits if eligible. Allowances: Please note that access to salaries beyond $130,900 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum Benefits available to eligible candidates: Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
