Great opportunities for Heavy Vehicle Mechanics to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team, in Ross Island and Lavarack Barracks.
As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy military vehicles, including 4WD's, trucks, tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers and even armoured tanks\

About The Role
* Conduct Maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classification
* Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials.
* Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaces parts
* Carry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs
* Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injection.
* Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates
About You
* Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level
* Open to Light Vehicle Mechanics with extensive Heavy vehicle experience
* Demonstrated experience to inspect, repair and maintain Light, Medium and Heavy vehicles
* Must possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's License
* You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
