About the role
The Surgical Unit is looking for an experienced highly motivated, team-focused surgically trained nurse with well-developed clinical and organisational skills and recent acute nursing experience. You will be responsible for the clinical care and assessment of patients both pre/post operatively, including elective and emergency presentations (general surgery and orthopaedic) under the direction of the ANUM and NUM of the Surgical Unit.
Recent surgical nursing experience is essential to be considered for this position.

* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* Minimum of 2 years postgraduate nursing experience
* Well-developed communication, interpersonal skills
* A focus on provision of high-quality clinical care which is patient focused
* Ability to work very effectively in a team-based environment
