Job Description
* Provide application support 4 days a week and 1 day over the weekend to ensure seamless operations.
* Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly and effectively.
* Analyze logs, FIX messages, and other primary sources to determine the root cause of trading and quoting issues.
* Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve system-related queries.
* Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.
* Document support activities and maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions.
* Assist in deploying updates and patches to applications as required.
* Provide training and guidance to end-users on application usage when necessary.
* Maintain a strong understanding of company applications and systems.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Application Support Engineer (Weekend Shift) should have:
* 2 - 5 yr experience in application support in the financial services industry especially trading industry.
* Has demonstrated proficiency with investigations related to trade execution and market data distribution processes and lifecycles.
* Understanding of FIX protocol.
* MetaTrader 4/5 application knowledge is preferred/desired
* Good knowledge of TCP/IP and Networking.
* Basic knowledge of SQL (PGSQL, MYSQL).
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Familiarity with software applications and system monitoring tools.
* Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
