Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Supervisor to join our operations at an Australian gold mine.
About the Role:
This residential/BIBO role is based in Charters Towers, QLD, on an 8/6 roster.
* Processing Plant and Crushing Circuit Management.
* Administration offices, stores, and workshops Maintenance.
* Tailings dams and associated electrical infrastructure Inspection and repair.
* HV Room, transformers, aerial cables, and power lines (A19 & N18 B line to B3, C line to C11, D line to D7 & F line to F7) Monitoring and maintenance.
* Potable water treatment plants, town and transfer station pumps Operation and maintenance.
* Telemetry radio links, fuel farm, and flood water alarm systems Monitoring and testing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture.
2. Ensure the Processing Plant availability is maintained at a minimum of 98%.
3. Ensure the Crushing Circuit availability is maintained at a minimum of 92%.
4. Achieving weekly and quarterly maintenance and shutdown targets.
5. Driving continuous improvement across plant performance and reliability.
6. Managing team rosters, training, and performance.
7. Identifying and implementing process and efficiency improvements.
8. Overseeing contractor activities and ensuring compliance with site standards.
9. Developing and implementing new electrical work procedures where required.
10. Maintaining accurate electrical maintenance records
About you:
You will require at least 5 years of experience in electrical roles, preferably in Mining, Commercial or Heavy Industry. Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate a small team, and experience in High Voltage applications are essential. Additionally, you should have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of budgeting and cost control, as well as strong computer skills in SAP, Excel, Word and Outlook. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including the Electrical Act, is also necessary. Experience in managing contractors and planning/scheduling projects is desirable.
