Aurizon's Containerised Freight Business is expanding, and we're seeking a dynamic Sales Representative with a background in transport logistics to grow our customer portfolio. You'll leverage your knowledge of our service offerings to identify new business opportunities and foster strong client relationships.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Business Development**: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, working collaboratively with the team to expand our client base.
- **Client Relationships**: Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.
- **Customer Engagement**: Actively engage with customers to understand their business requirements and provide informed advice.
- **Problem Solving**: Address unresolved or complex issues by seeking advice and developing solutions.
- **Customer Service**: Respond to customer inquiries promptly and effectively, ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
- **Database Management**: Maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date database of customer information.
- **Lead Generation**: Generate leads through prospecting, cold calls, referrals, and networking events.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with internal teams to develop professional bids that align customer needs with internal commercial goals.
- **Market Awareness**: Stay informed about market dynamics, competition, pricing, and industry requirements to enhance prospecting efforts.
**About You**:
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2 years of experience in internal sales, with a background in transport logistics preferred.
- **Influencing Skills**: Strong ability to influence, persuade, counsel, and motivate stakeholders, peers, and teams.
- **Customer Relationships**: Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- **Communication Skills**: High level of communication skills, including interpersonal, written, and oral.
