* Review and interpret structural drawings, engineering specifications, reports and construction documentation to assess structural systems, load paths, stability requirements, constructability, and project risks across demolition, fit-out, remediation and associated construction works.
* Apply professional structural engineering judgement to assess structural integrity, demolition methodologies, temporary works requirements, load transfer considerations, and sequencing strategies for proposed works.
* Conduct engineering site inspections to assess existing structural conditions, identify potential structural constraints and hazards, and evaluate factors affecting methodology, safety, constructability and project delivery.
* Analyse structural systems and provide technical engineering advice regarding demolition sequencing, temporary bracing, structural support requirements, and safe execution methodologies.
* Review structural documentation and identify engineering risks, design inconsistencies, constructability concerns, and scope gaps requiring clarification prior to project commencement.
* Provide structural engineering input into pre-construction planning, including assessment of methodologies, staging, access requirements, temporary support systems, and engineering feasibility.
* Assist in the preparation and review of engineering-related RFIs, technical clarifications, scope reviews and responses to consultants, clients and subcontractors during tender and delivery stages.
* Support value engineering initiatives by assessing alternative structural methodologies, sequencing approaches and construction solutions to improve safety, efficiency and commercial outcomes.
* Review tender and IFC (Issued for Construction) documentation to identify structural changes, engineering impacts, technical risks and constructability issues prior to contract award.
* Provide technical engineering support to estimating and pre-construction teams in relation to structural scope interpretation, quantities, methodologies and subcontractor technical assessments.
* Support project delivery teams by providing ongoing structural engineering advice relating to demolition works, temporary structures, sequencing, structural constraints and methodology implementation.
* Assist with the preparation and review of structural demolition methodologies, SWMS inputs, staging plans and engineering-related project documentation.
* Liaise with engineers, consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders to ensure engineering requirements and technical project objectives are achieved.
* Attend pre-start meetings, engineering inspections and project coordination meetings to provide structural engineering and technical support as required.
* Monitor engineering-related project variations, technical changes and scope amendments to ensure alignment with approved methodologies and project requirements.
* Assist with procurement reviews and technical assessment of subcontractor capabilities, methodologies and compliance documentation relevant to structural and demolition works.
* Support post-tender clarifications and technical discussions with clients, consultants and subcontractors regarding engineering methodologies and structural scope requirements.
* Ensure engineering recommendations and project methodologies are implemented in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, workplace safety requirements and project specifications.
* Maintain accurate engineering records, technical documentation, methodology reviews and project correspondence in accordance with company procedures.
* Utilise company systems and project platforms including Procore, Aconex and EstimateOne to manage engineering documentation and technical coordination activities.
* Develop and maintain professional working relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders through responsive and solution-focused communication.
* Provide technical support across demolition, remediation, fit-out and associated construction projects as directed by management.
