Position Title
Bookkeeper Location : Norwood, SA Position Type : Permanent, Full-time Hours : 8 : 30am – 5 : 00pm (with lunch break) Probation : 6 months Start Date : Immediate Overview We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our client's growing team based in Norwood.
This role will suit someone who is confident managing end-to-end bookkeeping, has solid payroll experience, and can effectively oversee and delegate work to a small offshore team.
You'll work closely with both local and overseas staff to ensure all financial and reporting deadlines are met efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Manage bookkeeping forclients per month, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Oversee payroll processing forclients monthly, using Bassworx.
Handle BAS preparation and lodgment, managing approximately 150 BAS per quarter, in collaboration with the accounting team.
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, data entry, and maintenance of accurate financial records.
Liaise with clients to obtain required financial data and documentation.
Supervise and delegate weekly tasks to a team of two offshore staff based in Vietnam, ensuring accountability and productivity.
Collaborate closely with the accounting team to ensure consistency and accuracy across all bookkeeping tasks.
Monitor and manage workflow volume to meet reporting and compliance deadlines.
Present regularly at the Norwood office to support team operations and communication.
Qualifications
4–5 years' experience in end-to-end bookkeeping, including BAS and payroll.
Strong competence in payroll systems (preferably Bassworx) and general bookkeeping software.
Proven ability to manage and support offshore or remote team members.
Excellent communication, delegation, and time management skills.
High attention to detail with a proactive and organised approach to workload management.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
