About the role:

The Repair technician is an individual contributor within the Asset Operations department. Reporting to the Installation and Repair Supervisor, the role is responsible for the repair & or refurbishment to all infrastructure as directed and may have the requirement to travel interstate if required to assist with repair & or refurbishment nationally.

A Day in the life:

* Undertake works in accordance with JCDecaux’s Integrated Management System
* Follow all reasonable and legal direction pertaining to safety
* Understand & follow all relevant SWMS & Procedures
* Do not undertake any works that they have not had the required training for
* Report any safety concerns via incident reporting procedure
* Repair or refurbish infrastructure safely in an efficient and coordinated manner
* Carry out daily and weekly vehicle inspections
* Carry out relevant safety inspections on harnesses, slings, power tools and lifting equipment
* Repair infrastructure as per company TCI manuals and to quality standards
* Be available as per roster for ‘on call’ on a weekly basis 24 hours/day to undertake emergency call outs (make safe) and other emergency/high priority works as required
* Upon request undertake lighting checks of infrastructure
* Ensure that all tools and plant are maintained to the required standards
* When utilizing company vehicles excessive idling or excessive use of tolls is avoided
* From time to time, the employee will be required to undertake works outside of the general scope of duties listed above, so long that they have received the required training for the task

About You:

Essential:

* Drivers licence (Class MR)
* Construction White card holder
* Both literate and numerate in order to complete the necessary paperwork
* Physically fit for the tasks involved
* Flexible regarding travel as this may be expected to travel interstate
* Able to display evidence of a technical background (work experience)
* Able to display knowledge of street furniture erection and installation.

Desirable:

* In possession of a Forklift Operator’s License
* In possession of an Avoidance of overhead power line certificate
