Job Role Overview
You will work under the direction of physiotherapists and occupational therapists to deliver high-quality clinical services to clients in residential aged care settings.
As a key support member, your time will be divided between clinical and administrative duties, contributing to the delivery of excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in delivering physiotherapy services according to established operating procedures and policies.
* Serve clients as per Allied Health Professionals treatment plans.
* Transport residents to therapy areas or appointments as directed by physiotherapists/occupational therapists.
* Set up and pack away the physiotherapy gym, including cleaning equipment.
* Collect referrals and perform other administrative tasks guided by physiotherapists.
* Order prescribed equipment.
* Lead exercise groups/programs.
* Support initiatives to meet client expectations.
* Consult with physiotherapists/occupational therapists on adaptations/changes to treatment plans for clients.
* Participate in mentoring, supervision, and appraisals according to policy and procedure.
